Philippines really has a lot of words, that’s why sometimes filipino’s doesn’t know what does it mean when someone says a uncommonly words. it is true that filipinos doesn’t know a lot of words in their country even if they’re born and raised here. that’s why it is a struggle when they heard uncommon words and doesn’t know the definition.

  1. Miktinig in English – (Microphone)

Definition: An instrument whereby sound waves are caused to generate or modulate an electric current usually for the purpose of transmitting or recording sound (as speech or music).

Example: Napaka ganda talaga ng boses ng idol ko kapag kumakanta siya sa Miktinig.

2. Sambat in English – (Fork)

Definition: A fork is a tool where you use it to pinch or twist in a food.

Example: Gumamit ng Sambat si jenny para makain ang spaghetti.

3. Pook-Sapot in English – (Website)

Definition: A place on the World Wide Web that contains information about a person, organization, and etc.

Example: Hanapin mo ang mga impormasyon natin sa pook-sapot.

4. Sulatraniko in English – (Email)

Definition: A system for sending messages from one computer to another computer.

Example: Gumawa ako ng sultraniko para sa aking magulang sa abroad.

5. Pantablay in English – (Charger)

Definition: A device for charging storage batteries.

Example: Nasaan naba ang aking pantablay nang makargahan ko na ang aking cellphone.

6. Pang Ulong Hatinig in English – (Headset)

Definition: A device that holds an earphone and a microphone in place on a person’s head.

Definition: An occasion when the sun looks like it is completely or partially covered with a dark circle because the moon is between the sun and the Earth.

Definition: to sharpen an object or to sharper (something).

Example: Nag yakis si Jenny ng kutsilyo.
